Aasa Polska was awarded for its business offer and CSR activities

Aasa Polska, which operates in Poland, won two prizes in the prestigious Loan Magazine Awards 2017. The Awards present the best products, initiatives and services on the non-bank loan market and in the fintech industry. The prizes are awarded by representatives from the most important companies and institutions in the industry. The awards gala took place on February 8, 2018 in Wroclaw.

Aasa Polska won in two categories. The “Business Loan of the Year” statuette was awarded for the second time in a row for the “Aasa Dla Biznesu” offer. The jury of the competition appreciated such advantages of the solution as the possibility of borrowing up to PLN 10 000 for 24 months from the first day of running your own business. They also appreciated the minimum number of required formalities, quick decision to grant a loan, the ability to sign an online agreement and the ability to instantly transfer funds. “Aasa Dla Biznesu” also offers a flexible loan repayment form, which can be included in the cost of the business additionally.

The second statuette Aasa Polska received in the category “Socially Responsible 2017” for the CSR campaign “Aces of the Internet – let’s get closer”. The award was granted by representatives of the financial community who voted during the gala. The key goal of the campaign is the digital activation of mature people, especially women aged between 45 and 70 years, with the support of younger generations. As part of the initiative, Aasa Polska launched a free multimedia curriculum on how to write emails, use online communication and search interesting information on the Internet. The honourary partner of the campaign is the KPF, and the media partner is the portal Odpowiedzialnybiznes.pl, which belongs to the Responsible Business Forum (FOB).

Aasa Global, a parent company, has been active on the Polish market since 2012 through Aasa Polska. The company has paid out 426 918 loans and has recently reached over PLN 1 billion (over EUR 244 million) in issued loans cumulatively. This consolidates the company competitive position on the Polish market as one of the largest issuers of instalment loans both online and offline.  

Aasa Global also operates in Sweden through Aasa Kredit (since May 2017) and Finland through Aasa OY (since 2010) and AA-Yleislaina OÜ (since 2011). Aasa has paid out 5 150 loans worth over EUR 7 million in Sweden and 147 528 loans worth over EUR 371 million in Finland, as of January 31, 2018.

Aasa already placed on the Mintos marketplace loans issued in Poland (since February 2017) and in Sweden (since October 2017). So far investors on Mintos have invested EUR 4.8 million in loans issued by Aasa Polska and EUR 2.4 million in loans issued by Aasa Kredit Svenska.

The Poland-issued loans that Aasa Polska places on the Mintos marketplace range from EUR 200 to EUR 2 300, with a repayment period of 6 to 24 months. The loan originator offers investment opportunities in Euro (EUR) and Polish zloty (PLN). It is expected that the annual net return to investors will range from 7% to 12%.

The Sweden-issued loans that Aasa places on the Mintos marketplace range from EUR 1 000 to EUR 5 000, with an average repayment period of 6 to 24 months. Aasa Kredit Svenska offers the loans for investment in Euro (EUR) and in Swedish Krona (SEK). The net return to investors will range from 8% to 13%.

There is a buyback guarantee from Aasa for loans that are delinquent for more than 60 days. The obligations of Aasa Kredit Svenska AB are guaranteed by Aasa Group. To retain its “skin in the game”, Aasa will keep at least 5% of each loan available on the Mintos marketplace.
