Bulgarian loan originator Stikcredit launches on Mintos

We are pleased to announce that we have a new loan originator on the marketplace from Bulgaria – Stikcredit, a non-bank financial institution which issues consumer loans. You can invest in the company’s personal loans now, and earn net annual returns of up to 12%.

Established in 2013 to fill in the gap in personal lending, Stikcredit underwrites unsecured consumer loans within minutes – nationwide. The loan originator issues its short-term and instalment loans online and through its branches located in Bulgaria.

Since its inception, Stikcredit has issued EUR 14 million worth of loans. The company has more than 70 employees and branches in 25 cities across Bulgaria. The company has a net loan portfolio of EUR 2.9 million as of September 2019.

In the past two and a half years, Stikcredit grew its loan issuance rate from 400 loans per month to over 2,800 loans per month. It has managed to achieve a rapid increase in its customer base and loan portfolio. Stikcredit has so far issued over 45,000 loans since inception.

On Mintos, you can now invest in Stikcredit’s Bulgaria-issued personal loans ranging from EUR 100 to EUR 2,550, with a maturity of up to two years. You can expect net annual returns of up to 12%.

In order to keep its skin in the game, the company will keep 10% of each loan placed on the marketplace on its balance sheet. In addition, all Stikcredit’s loans come with a buyback guarantee and will be repurchased if they become delinquent for 60 days or more.

For the company’s 2018 financial year, Stikcredit reported a revenue of EUR 1.327 million, which represents an increase of 115% year-on-year.
