Latvian lending company DelfinGroup plans to launch its initial public offering (IPO) of shares on the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange in 2021. Details on the amount and price of shares to be issued will be announced before the initial public offering, and a prospectus will be made available after approval by the Latvian regulator FCMC. It’s now one year since the Covid-19 pandemic began and, for the first time, the crowdlending industry experienced a major crisis. Some lending companies and platforms went out of business, while investors shifted from investing in loans to other asset classes.
Swell Finanzas en Movimiento launches on Mintos and offers to invest in car loans issued in Mexico.
Founded in 2010, Swell specializes in loans to small and medium enterprises. While the majority of its loans are leasing to cars, commercial vehicles and machinery, Swell also issues loans for working capital, unexpected expenses, asset purchase, and financing investment projects. Most of the car and commercial vehicle loans are issued in direct cooperation with the new vehicles’ dealerships, effectively increasing the average loan size above the market average. Read more
